- After Neurontin stopped working to make me go to sleep, I decided wow- maybe Benedryl will work on me like it does on others. At first I was amazed how well it worked. After all of the medications I have taken to go to sleep and enduring the side effects of those medications, I didn't think it could be so simple. I mean it was over the counter. I thought that nothing would make me sleep and that included over the counter medications that have a side effect of drowsiness. Benedryl worked. However, it too soon stopped working. So my psychiatrist told me one week, no matter what you do, don't drink alcohol to go to sleep. She said I don't care if you take Neurontin, Benedryl, and Seroquel together. Well I knew how much I hated Seroquel so I decided maybe I should try Neurontin and Benedryl together. It worked. It doesn't always but for the most part over the last 7 months.

- Do not take that much Benadryl unless a Neuro tells you. I can't believe I took this much because a family Dr. told me.
