Advice & Tips
I also have a less effective bespoke boot for outdoor wear. I cannot get my foot into a traditional shoe, as my toes buckle and drag. This boot opens down the middle to the toe and velcroes shut. It is not well made and it is not attractive but it does maintain my foot position and protect my toes

Advice & Tips
It was difficult to get used to at first but it has become probably the most effective of all the treatments I have had. I have tripped only once since I got them, they help enormously in walking and driving. The are comfortable to wear and prpvided me with a very acceptable alternative to the awful plastic shoe inserts which were the only alternative offered to me. I recommend this treatment 100 per cent.

Advice & Tips
August 21, 2011 I fell and made my thighs sore whwn my legs were bent back. This weakend the muscles and prevented me from taking steps. The muscles were weaker after that, I can no longer walk. I now use my AF orthotic to protect my feet and legs while in the wheel chair. Sleeping with them usually results in pain in my foot or leg from different pressure points from the horizontal AF orthotic.

Advice & Tips
I generally wear only one AFO on my right leg. I ocassionaly will wear both if I am going to be on my feet all day. It helps with just one especially if I have a alot of stairs of uneven ground to walk on. Having both AFO's reduces the "feel" when walking that's important on unven terrain. I only occasioanaly use my cane when wearing them. When I don't wear them I must use the cane or I fall a lot.

Advice & Tips
The AFO dramatically improved my gait as well as helping alleviate foot drop.
