When I have a migraine, it takes a couple of doses for the Excedrin to really work. The bonus is that it takes away a lot of the tension in my neck and shoulders, if only for a few hours.

Advice & Tips
I take Excedrin at the first sign of a headache, basically to take the edge off of any migraine that may be forming. It never takes the whole thing away, but it helps to reduce the pain enough that I don't tense up and make it worse. The only type of Excedrin that works for me is the regular (original) tablets, extra strength. All of the other varieties, such as the capsules, have much less of a positive impact on my headaches.

Advice & Tips
Make sure that you take with something else in your stomach, like food or orange juice; especially if you have stomach ulcers. Do not ever take more than three, and give yourself at least 8 hours before bed without Excedrin. If the headache worsens, don't take the next dose.
