Advice & Tips: If you are taking a beta blocker, or any other drug that lowers pulse, or depresses the nervous system, be VERY careful. Your pulse to drop too low and you could die. My doc told me a man's pulse went down to 39 on this medication, and mine was in the 40's. Also, this medicine is harsh on the heart, it could cause chest pain in susceptible individuals. I was prescibed 40 mg daily, but this was too much for me, so I emptied out some of the medicine, the side effects were not as harsh, but they were still there. Unless you have severe bi-polar or sciziphrenia, it's really not worth the trouble or money.

Advice & Tips: With drawals are awful even after tapering off. Chills, sweats, vomiting, and diarreaha.

Advice & Tips: Be sure to take with food. Do not overeat while taking this medication because of the potential risk of severe discomfort for a protracted period. My mood is improved and I seem to have avoided manic phases and my libido has been somewhat enhanced. Over all I have felt better about myself and mood has improved.

Advice & Tips: Be very, very careful of "hyper-sleep". I was driving to work and had this happen twice while I was driving. Hyper-sleep is characterized by 1-4 minutes of deep sleep that comes on suddenly. While brief, if operating a motor vehicle it can be deadly.

Advice & Tips: My doctor felt that the Geodon and the Zoloft were competing in my brain with the relapse that was in progress the relapse is significant in my ability to walk. So we backed off of them slowly and replaced with Celexa

Advice & Tips: For me Geodon is my antidepressant. I can't take regular antidepressants, but this is great. I take a real high dose but I don't get depressed and I don't switch into mania.
