Advice & Tips: this medication did not help me that much. I still experience moderate to severe pain in my lower back, neck, hips, hands, arms, calf, thighs, fingers, shoulders, etc.

Advice & Tips: sleeping all the time after having insomnia for over two years. Not complaining yet, but I am always tired and sleeping. Not getting enough exercise, and eating more. Only medication that has worked, and really eliminate the severe pain in my back, neck, legs, and hips, arm, and hands. Medication is working on all my pain, and I love it.

Advice & Tips: Just started this medication on 11/10/2009, 300 mg at bedtime. So far it does not seem to be reducing my pain level. Will be re-evaluated in December to determine how many mg I need to relieve this Fibro pain.

Advice & Tips: Feeling like I am getting slightly better sleep and it relieves the pain somewhat, but wears off quite quickly. Still numb hands and feet, still quite dizzy, very tired, but waking up on my own now, so that is something. Stil nauseated, but have been for a month now so don't knwo if its the meds or not.

Advice & Tips: On advice from a new Doc with a Pain Managment Group increasing Gabapentin to 600 X 3 times @ day (1800mg) and backing tramadol back to 100mg X 2 Times @ day(200mg)

Advice & Tips: Any changes from the doseage of 600mg x 2 total 1200 a day caused all sorts of problems, a lesser dose increased the sensetivet of the area causing pain increase. Increase the doseage caused more sweating with no extra pain relief.

Advice & Tips: Up Date Nov o9 The side effects although modrate are easy to manage. The relief from the burning /neddle & pins type pain is worth it. I can get socks and shoes on at least for a while, before it gets to much to bare. The overall pain still controls my life.

Advice & Tips: Gabapentin takes time to build up in the system, so relief is not immediate. At my current dose I cannot miss a single dose, if I do the relief is lost for 24+ hours. This product (along with it's sister, Lyrica) cause me nightmare/nightterrors that can leave me with a panic attack when I wake. The gabapentin does not leave me as depressed as the Lyrica did, so I am currently remain with it as my primary treatment.

Advice & Tips: I've done my research on Gabapentin and anything over 1800mg is a waste of medicine and money. If it doesn't work at this dose it won't help you. You need to take it at this dosage for at least one month to make this determination. Both my MDs and my homeopathic ND agree.

Advice & Tips: Have not taken it at the current dosage as of yet, Rheumy told me to add more as I go along since I have trouble with fatigue and I was concerned that taking 300mg 3x a day would have me in bed all day because I have only been taking the Gaba at night. Rheumy says at 100mg tabs I can add slowly to build it up without being tired. My hope is my fatigue and pain levels will be more positive.

Advice & Tips: I find that the neurontin does the best job in dealing with my NERVE pain. Narcotics just don't cut it with that. My doctor even told me that narcotics are ineffective with nerve pain. I can live with the mild side effects I get just for the benefit of having it help my nerve pain to my legs so much!! I can get out of bed, run errands with my husband, play a more active role in society.
