Make sure that the seat height is appropriate for your height.
Handle grips need to be considered if you have sensory problems with hands.
Try out different handle and brake styles, not just grips if possible (some pharmacies offer rentals). Just because it is "ergonomical" doesn't mean that it will be best for you.
A basket located under the seat (versus in the front or on the handles) works best.
Try picking it up, if you are going to have to lift it for yourself. The written versus physical weight may surprise you.
