Definitely expect swelling in feet, legs, hands, arms, and body. I have a 25 lb weight gain I did not expext within 6 weeks. On the other hand, I had experienced Opiod induced constipation prior to taking Lyrica. However taking Lyrica has kept my bowels moving fairly regularly every other day with more than comfortable straining. It is still better than being constipated continually with bowel movements every five to six days that are extremely painful and stressful.

Did nothing at all for my fibromyalgia, but made me into a total zombie, utterly unable to function. I was scared to death to leave the house, becuase I could not walk safely down the street without stumbling, forgetting what I was doing, etc., could not even get up to feed myself. Took one dose at night for a while as it seemed to help sleep, but this benefit wore off, so there seemed no point taking it.

If i did not take this drug for my pain i would not be able to get out of bed!! i have tried all the immediate drugs that are given by the gp's and this is my life saver by far and i had no side effects at all and i would know as i have a massive fear on taking new drugs... it does not take away all the pain of course but for me if i dont take it im in that much pain i cant move so this drug is a massive thumbs up from me :)
