This drug was not on the preferred drug list for my insurance, so even though I have a high deductible plan, I was informed that I would need to pay the full amount for this drug even once my deductible was met.

I recommend Cymbalta to a lot of my patients for Depression and FMS. BUT when I took it for FMS I gained 15 pounds in 1 month (which is fairly unusual - most of my patients lose 10 pounds the first month!). So, I quit and have lost almost all of the weight (5 more to go!)

Was told to take at bedtime, but left me restless and wakeful, so I take it during the morning hours now. Was lucky enough to be given samples as I have no ins coverage for this and there's no generic.

I was told to take this at night to help with fibro and sciatic pain at night. I didn't sleep well, was wakeful, but did help pain. I've started taking it in the morning, and it helps the pain and I don't want to sleep as much during the day now. It has helped with pain and depression. I was given a huge bag of samples to last til next appt. Don't know the cost, but do know my ins won't cover it!

so far the only medication that has made a difference in pain management. side effects for me are not horrible compared to other medications that my system could not tolerate worth trying in my opinion
