best taken very first thing in am not later in day. Did seem to cause irregular heart beats if fatigue was not an intense cycle. IT was needed to function in the world.

Provigil worked wonderfully WITH admantadine... my insurance refused to pay for it anymore. My neuro introduced me to Nuvigil and it's been great!

Take it early in the morning, don't go much past 10am or it can cause insomnia. If it causes insomnia at 200mg, go to 100mg dose and see how it goes with the half does for starters. It may build up in the system so that later down the road you may have to increase it.

Only complete relief for Narcoleptic symptoms I have ever found. I expected it to wake me up but it made me feel like an entirely new person. I had completely forgotten what being awake felt like! Unfortunately after my two week free trial insurance denied it. :/ have never been so happy with a medication since.

Provigil works very well in combating daytime drowsiness. It is rather expensive(around $500.00 a month retail), but I'm fortunate to have a good prescription drug plan. I stopped taking it and switched to the 2nd generation version called Nuvigil. Surprisingly the new version is around half the price and works as well or better.
