I had run out of codeine when I 'borrowed' my wife's tramadol and was surprised to find that it dealt with my fatigue immensely which I had been suffering from quite badly- when I don't take it, the fatigue returns so it is clear the positive effect it is having on me. Having less fatigue means I am now able to function in day to day activities whereas before, I would spend most of the day in bed.

I usually take this first thing in the morning and rarely ever need to take any more. If I take this after 12pm, it generally stops me from sleeping for a period of 12 hours. Eg. take at 2.30pm forget about sleeping until 2.30am. When I dont take it, I generally spend the day in bed!

Tramadol (Ultram) is a very good treatment for all-over pain, such as that associated with Fibromyalgia. I stopped taking it simply because I no longer have health insurance, and could not afford to see my doctor. Just a warning - Tramadol does affect serotonin levels in the brain, so if you are taking anything such as an anti-depressant, please be careful!
