This medication gave me extra energy and jolted me out of a severe 6 week depression. It also allowed me to get by on less sleep. I stopped taking this medication, however, because of intolerable side effects including: akathesia (internal restlessness or need to move), significant weight loss, and increasingly serious anxiety. I know you're not supposed to go against doctor's orders, but the side effects scared me sufficiently that I stopped first and got permission later.

worked for 3 days then I was right back where I started, so we doubled the Dose but next day my Brain was running hay wire and I couldn't sleep through the night no more. I was only content while driving and Gas cost to much, lol. Had to stop taking it complietly because I started to get panic attacks my brain won't stop thin king that fast no more.

This is great for bipolar disorder. I've been on heaps of treatments and this is the best by far. I found it better than Seroquel and any other tablet that I've taken for bipolar. Mania has by and large disappeared. Its had no effect on depressive symptoms though.

the reason i stopped taking this is because i felt like i stopped caring about everything, basically i was emotionless. i stopped this and then my lithium a few weeks later and i feel so good right now!
