Diastat is a very helpful drug. It works very quick if administered at first onset of seizure. My seizures would last sometimes from 15 to 45 minutes. And some would almost last to an hour. These are cluster seizures that I'm talking about,but when Diastat is used it would get into my system and these seizures would stop at about the 7 to 10 min mark.
But expect a drwzy spell . I usually sleep for about 2 to 3 hrs. after a single 20mg. dose of Diastat. But it works.
Takes away the anxiety pretty quickly. It does leave me with brain fog though. Sometimes hard to get out of bed after taking it. But it has made me calmer and less stressed which has made me a better mom, wife and friend.
I've had panic and axiety attacks since I was a child (7years old). I've learned to live with the generalized axiety of everyday. Since, I began having symptoms of Fibromyalgia, my panic attacks and having no control of my nerves have become hazard to my daily life. So, the Valium, HELPS me so much.
