You must follow the directions to the letter. Topamax is risky for seizures if you don't take it properly. If you drop it suddenly, you may risk a seizure. Follow the drs orders, ask your doctore before you quit it, follow the orders to quit if you do.

The medication was only minimally effective at best, but with the side effects even that much was hard to tell. I had regular visual hallucinations in my peripheral vision.
Be very careful with this medication and take as directed. Make sure to follow directions if you need to stop this medication due to serious side effects and withdrawls including seizures.

The impact this drug had on my social and my whole life were unpleasant, it was given me both to treat my epilepsy and physocis I was going through at the time. The only alternative was Carbamazipine which was ruled out due to severe liver damage. I was on a mental health unit at this time and was treated with it whilst in hospital
