I have been taking this medication for a while to help my horrible itch. When I first started taking this medication I could only take it at night as it did make me feel very sleepy but after a few weeks I was able to take this medication during the day. A plus side of taking this medication is that it also can help with sickness and can be taken as well other anti sickness medications.

This medication was prescribed for me to take as needed for anxiety. It helps my body relax when I am exhausted but my body feels like it is running a marathon and will not allow me to rest. The downside for me is it makes me very sleepy for a long time and I have to be alert to help care for my wheelchair confined 78 year old mother.

It may or may not affect the itch. Either way, you'll be too drowsy to care. I honestly don't think it lessens this particular itch, but I itch less while I'm knocked out on it.
