Seemed to help for first 2 weeks but foot & leg muscle cramps continued so I slowly decreased my dosage and stopped. July 2010 kept on taking this drug as a musle relaxer

Great for spaticity, but i became aware of the weakeness in leg muscles, so i have halved the original dose as a compromise.

I was having great difficulty walking, even with a walker when I started taking Baclofen, and noticed immediate improvement, mostly in terms of the speed of my walking and longer steps. However, I still have difficulty walking and consider the benefit to me slight to moderate only.

My husband and caregiver both help me take my medicines correctly and on time. I found the easiest way to take my medicine is in something else like pudding, jello or applesauce. I have trouble swallowing so these help ease the pills down my throat. Also, I take them at the same time every day so that it has become easier to remember.

I have found that this treatment works well for me but the side effect of weakness, works against me in that I am not able to walk far distances without stopping.

Baclofen has been very effective at controlling my muscle spasms, which were occurring up to thirty times a day before I started treatment. Now I only have one spasm occasionally. I sometimes forget to take my tablet in the middle of the day, which may be the reason I get the occasional spasm.
