Be careful not to build up a tolerance -- it really is something, in my opinion, to be used "as needed" rather than a daily supplement for SSRIs or used recreationally. I have had friends who developed a dependency, and it's hard to watch.

I didn't want this drug to have any effect because I'm not good at taking meds. However, I notice a huge improvement when I take this medication consistently. My anxiety is less, I do fewer self-destructive behaviors, and I seem much more able to cope with daily stress successfully.

Clonazepam is an extremely beneficial treatment for aiding in sleep as well as anxiety. It not only helps you FALL asleep, but your QUALITY of sleep is so much better. The reason for this is that it is also a mild muscle relaxant so your sleep movement is decreased. The difference is really amazing. All I need is 1mg when I know I need a good night's sleep and I'm good. The only really terrible side effect of Clonazepam is that it INSTANTLY constipates you terribly. And as people with naturally sensitive digestive systems, we are particularly apt to fall prey to constipation. That's the only drawback.

This pill knocked my girlfriend out for 2 days but for me it does the opposite, it seems to act as a muscle relaxant more then a sleep aid. Have not tried to use it during the day as a muscle relaxant, I will talk to my MDS about this and to ask about a new sleep aid.

this medication is a new one to me and i found it very strong if i had taken it 3 times a day i would have been asleep all day and awake all night.

Decreased anxiety, especially helpful when I feel a seizure about to come on. Klonopin is a benzodiazeprine, which makes it a controlled substance and more difficult to get sometimes. If you have a problem with drug/alcohol abuse in the past, be very careful taking this med as it can be addictive. Also, expect some daytime sleepiness if you take it during the day or even the night before...it disrupts sleep patterns a bit but is overall not a bad drug.
