I have tried many different "techniques" and ways: Behavior Modification, Acupuncture (which helped a lot to settle me down), Retreats, Prayer, talking with others about spirituality. All of these ways at times helped me; I have slowed down mentally and physically to spend more time doing the things I really want to do--and less in spending time pleasing others. I have to keep at it, though, or I fall by the wayside. Prayer is the most effective for me.
Impact: Change, change, change. My life is different--but oh! How I love it.

The PT showed me the heel tap & hip rock (I don't know if these are the proper names) are simple enough and I am told that the purpose is to allow built up toxens in the muscles to dissapate, decreasing pain & muscle spasms. They do seem to help some after I've been in the same position (sleeping) for a few hours. I rarely sleep more than 4-5 hours and do turn over a few times, due to pain awakening me.
