Advice & Tips
I think WW's zero-point assignment to some foods is bogus. My weight loss plateaued in two weeks after losing 4 pounds right off. I am now using www.LoseIt.com with much more success and no cost.

Advice & Tips
I'm on a low-carb diet. Prior to that, I was having a panic attack about every 1.5 hours due to low blood sugar. In just three days I was able to go 3.5 hours without eating. My Naturopathic Doctor (ND) advised me to restrict dense carb intake to 90 grams/day. I use the iPad app MyNetDiary to track my Calories and fat, carbs, protein. My diet now consists of mainly non-starchy vegetables (half raw), animal protein, nuts and seeds, other healthy fats like coconut oil for stir fries and olive oil for salads, very little fruit (like 1/2 cup of blueberries), and a smidgen of dense carbs, like a slice of Ezekiel Sprouted Grain bread and a couple of rye flatbread crackers. At first I tried for a fat:carb:protein allocation of 30% 35% 35% (for 2000 Calories/day) but it's turning out to be closer to 50% 20% 30%, which I think is OK. I'll write more as I go along. BTW, the unexpected benefit is that I'm losing weight, despite being at 50% fat intake. I know people lose a lot of water weight on low carb diets because of muscles shedding glycogen. It will be interesting to see how much weight I lose. My ND also said I should be feeling less pain in 5-10 days. Evidently hypoglycemia can cause muscle pain. It makes me wonder how much fibro-pain is from comorbid hypoglycemia.

Advice & Tips
Dysphagia prevents me from consuming foods that have solids and thin liquids (e.g., chicken noodle soup). Moderately thick sauces are okay (e.g., ketchup). I also avoid spicy foods (which I love) and alcohol because they hurt so bad if they go down the wrong pipe. I cannot converse while eating; I must concentrate on swallowing. Thank the Lord I still cough when something goes the wrong way.
