I had experienced heart palpitations (Supra-ventricular Tachycardia) for a long time before taking this medication for essential tremor. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the SVT stopped as soon as I began taking propranolol.

I used it for tremor. This was before the PD dx. Or it seemed to keep me from getting jumpy/overexicited/shakey when i was around a group of people. The new psych doc recommended discontinuing it. The neuro doc said it can't stop PD tremor. So, i didn't push to have the rx renewed.

Without Inderal I would not be able to take the dose of lithium I need to stay more stable. Before I could hardly sign my name and that was a very present and constant reminder to me of my illness. Within half an hour of taking my first dose, the hand tremors virtually disappeared and I had the unexpected benefit of my anxiety almost disappearing as well. I haven't had any side effects that give me problems
