I would take Naproxen at nighttime instead of Ibuprofen because I thought it would "last me through the night" since it had a 8-12hr efficacy. Seemed to work, since when I stopped taking it because of severe stomach pain, I noticed I was a LOT more stiff and sore in the morning!
Several weeks after stopping this medicine, I realized that it was working with the Lyrica to control the overall level of fibromyalgia pain and brain fog. I am currently on Coumadin for an unrelated problem, so I cannot take the Aleve right now, otherwise I might not have ever noticed the connection.

For the small price of a bottle of aleve I think its work taking before each injection and the day after also.. I have not had any flu like symptoms and hope that taking the 2 tablets are the reason why.

taking 2 aleve 2 hrs prior to injecting seems to ward off the ful like symptoms so far- we will see how it goes once i start the increased dosage of betaseron
