Advice & Tips
The energy boost of 3 days infusion lasted only a few days and I had HUGE crash 36 hours after last treatment and felt much worse for a week than before infusion.

$100-199 monthly

Advice & Tips
The high energy lasted just a few days so didn't seem worth it. Laste 3-day treatment ended in a CRASH 36 hours after last infusion and I was out of town and was lucky to get a step-down oral prednisone prescription. Suggest you have a filled prescripton just in case you need one post infusion. It would have been cheaper (no $100 co-pay) had I had home infusion.
Cost
$100-199 monthly

Advice & Tips
I liked the energy boost but that lasted only a few days so it seemed good in advance of a special event that required more energy. However, I developed a fungus infection which could be due to susceptibility from suppressed immune system and steroids can increase that so decided the benefit of a few days of good energy was not worth risks of infection.
Cost
$50-99 monthly

Advice & Tips
I used to have a home health nurse come, but now I go to the infusion lab at the local hospital. Helps with a nice couple days of energy....I like that :) It's no trouble since both of my kids are in elementary school and the hospital has a very flexible scheduling policy. I can schedule a month ahead on a schoolday morning.
Cost
$25-49 monthly

Advice & Tips
When I was first given the Medrol, which was to replace years of high dosage Prednisone, I had positive results. i had more energy. It cleared up the skin rash breakouts I was having. However after being on the medrol and prednisone for so many years the effects have turned on me. i cannot muster the energy to get out of bed. I have gained well over 100 lbs from the hunger it causes. It makes me crave sugar and salt. When I try to stop taking this drug my skin starts to bleed out of nowhere. The pain becomes unbearable and i lose weight. It is a vicious circle i can't get away from. if i know i have to do something importanr i will take an extra pill the day before and it calms my skin and joints enough for a short while. I would really hesitate to recommend this to anyone because the side effects are now worse than my original problems.
