I take Amitza when I am constipated, but it hurts, so I rarely take it. The first time I took it, I had sever shortness of breath and tightness of chest, my cheeks became flushed, and I actually threw it up. I did have a bowel movement with a few hours, but it wasn't worth the pain. I have since tried taking it at different times of the day, with or without food, etc., but I still don't like it.
