it is better than Lyrica for me and NO side effects. I didn't loose weight but i didn't gain any either.....like Lyrica, did to me.

My neurologist prescribed Neurontin as a 'long shot' at helping eliminate pain in my back/groin from a herniated disk injury in 1963. He also had hopes it might help me sleep at night. After I reached the maximum dosage of 900 mg /day, there ws no discernible improvement in either one of these. So we decided to stop taking it. It is not a drug which one stops taking 'cold turkey'. So I have been tapering off, planning to eliminate it entirely.

This med was lightly recommended to me by my neurologist. It was thought it might help with a pain I was having. I was also having physical therapy at the same time to also help my pain. Since neither the medication NOR the PT gave me any relief, I decided on my own NOT to waste any more money chasing this line of thinking.

Iv'e been on Neurontin for a long time. This is one drug that I swear by and really do like it. I don't get any negative or bad side effects from it and it really does help my mood out alot. The only problem- beware if you don't have health insurance for it's one expensive drug.
