I have taken this medicine, with the exception of about a year, since 1991, and have not had any grand mal seizures. I have had mild aural seizure activity, but not bad enough to warrant a visit to the doctors. It has been 20 years without a grand mal seizure for me, and I think that is a big accomplishment compared to how I did before I started taking Depakote.

I became very depressed while on Depakote, even when the dose was cut in half. So my Neuro took me off of it.

I was getting too depressed, even though it definitely helped with the myoclonus. I've cut the dosage in half on my own until I see my doctor next week. I'm still blue, but it took it awhile for that to show up after starting on it.

I been not taking 2 x 500mg 2x a day untill now I feel better and just 1000mg will not out me in the theaputic range, I had mania since 1/1/10. I have been stable and not soending money but I isolate and gained weight back I have to staRT SOMEWHERE!
