This pain killer may cause you to have a upset stomache at the beginning but it does go away after time.

Although it never takes the pain away completely, it does ease the pain so that it is tolerable. This med can make you kind of spacey so take it with care.

Worked fairly well, but acetominophen dosage was quite high on a daily basis. That was the reason for the change in meds.

If you are going to take Lortab regularly, you have to be very mindful about your pain levels and learn when you really need it and when you should take a non-prescription pain med instead. I worked very hard to balance my need for pain relief with my desire to not become addicted to the pain medication. It could be a difficult path to follow if you have a tendency towards addiction. Monitor yourself closely, follow your doctors orders carefully, and if you think you need more, discuss it with the doctor. It also helps to have a close friend or spouse with whom you can discuss your pain levels and get their advice on taking your medication. I employed these methods just to be over-careful to make sure I did not overuse the medication and that it was helpful and not hurtful to my overall health.

I end up usually taking 2 pills a day. One at noon so that the pain is minimized to get thru the afternoon of work and once when I get home. The day before a storm front, the pain is much worse and I may need 3. This pill will wake me up, not put me to sleep. There are still days where I don't need it at all. I usually only need one a day on the weekends.
