After 300 mgs of this drug I find myself to be itchy everywhere so I know I am allergiic just taking a smaller doseage... It does cause slight itching once in awhile... It does keep me from a lot of extra sensory that I cannot handle too much of anymore. I am thinking of stopping it altoghter though....

I could not have a normal life without this medication. I would not be able to sleep or keep a sane mind. Any side affects have been of no consquence compared to the benefits I get. Before taking this med I was unable to sleep for days. My mind gets extremely restless, to put it mildly, causing me to feel like I'm going crazy. It has saved my marriage and, more importantly, my life.

I think this is by far the best sleep aid but I also think that some of the side-effects are troublesome and some of them were down right scary at first. Thankfully the only real difference I noticed since taking this is irregular periods. I used to be an end of the month gal now I am a mid month gal. So I make sure I am always prepared just in case since I never know for sure when period will start.

I was prescribed Seroquel for my insomnia and it was very effective the first month I started taking it. When the dosage goes up I experience a very uncomfortable urge to move when I am trying to get to sleep - very irritating. When I take it every night it doesn't work at all and the dosage has to go up which leads to the restlessness and frustration which is not conducive to sleep. When I take it sparingly the results are better.

I found Seroquel to be very effective for mood stabilization. It's also very effective for weight gain. I thought this side effect wouldn't get me; I am thin, I exercise daily, I avoid alcohol and sweets. I must admit I have only now hit the government's idea of a "normal weight", but it doesn't look normal on me. I don't fit half my clothes. I've had to add aerobic exercise to my daily routine; no mean feat, since I have MS, and my symptoms tend to flare when my body temperature rises. Luckily, I love to swim. I've committed to swimming in a cold pool for half and hour a day, five days a week. The unwanted pounds are shedding quickly. I've purchased a swim cap to prevent too much chlorine damage to my hair. As for my moods? I'm committing to meditation, and to thoughtful action. Wish me luck.
