I take all my medications with either a spoonful of yogurt, or rice pudding to make swallowing easier. My quality of life is much better, now that I seem to be in control with this medication for the emotional liability. Tried sever anti-depressants medications, but found this to work the best.

Effexor worked miracles for me for the first couple of years--or maybe just a year. Then it pooped out. It seems likely to me that when I combined Effexor with a heavy running regimen I frequently got a true "runner's high". When it stopped working, I went off it in a week. This was a BIG mistake. Effexor is THE MOST DIFFICULT antidepressant to get off of. Withdrawal symptoms can be very intense and include dizziness, shaking, uncontrollable laughing and/or crying, and etc. This lasted for several months.
