The medicine gave me back my life. I can easily tell when I have forgotten my dose without looking at my day of the week dispenser. Anxiety returns more quickly than depression. Every day is simpler. I still get sad sometimes - but appropriately sad - and I get nervous sometimes. But I never get paralysed by either feeling. I am much more effective and get along with others very well. I also seem to tune into the feelings of others more now - I feel empathetic when I used to feel totally inside of myself. My chest is no longer tight. Prozac is not for everyone - a colleague started risky behavior while on it. So it is important to be patient in the effort to find the treatment that works for you.
