| Nov 07, 2009 | I am on a very aggressive treatment plan and I feel that the IVIG is a big part of the reason that I am in as good of shape as I am. I have been diagnosed for over 14 years, 47 years old and feel pretty good. I can tell when my treatment time comes around because the fatigue becomes much worse. I say that the IVIG "recharges my batter". I actually go every third week. | < $25 monthly |

| Nov 10, 2008 | Distract yourself. I bring music to listen to, or magazines to read/look at. You'll be there for about 5 hours! But there are NO side effects like the Solumedrol. Yay! | monthly |
| Jan 30, 2009 | Infusion takes about 4-5 hours; bring something to occupy yourself. If you get chilly, bring your own comfy lap-blanket. If you have hard to find veins for an IV? Drink lots of water the night before, it 'plumps' them up. The overall experience is not traumatic; the medicine doesn't hurt and there are almost no side effects. You don't puff-up or feel achy like Solumedrol. :P | monthly |
| Oct 23, 2009 | Last IVIG treatment was Jan 2009. After going to USC to an MS Specialist; my Kaiser Neuro followed that Dr's recommendations, which were- continue on Betaseron in conjunction with 2 consecutive days of an IVIG. So my Neuro prescribed 12 mos. of IVIGs; I began month one today. The infusion went well! The IV did not!!! :( I was told I really should consider a port. A port? A PORT!! A Port...Really?? I'm at THAT stage? SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!! :) My nurse, who I like a lot reminded me.... Whatever treatment I'll be on, I be on for life- whether it's IVIG or possibly Tysabri (later on!). Also, getting blood drawn there is a plus & using it for the contrast for the MRI's. Yay!! My veins are deep, and very fine- or so I'm told... | monthly |

| Jul 25, 2008 | Treatment is about 5 hours; bring a book or books on tape. Bring H2O & snacks, too. The nurse will usually pre-medicate w/ benedryl & tylenol to help with the mild side effects, I was okay. Side effects usually include; mild headache & itching. | monthly |
