Once you finish titration, find a time of day that's comfortable for you to inject. For me it turned out to be first thing in the morning.
As far as injection site issues, hey, it's a shot. Sometimes there's a little blood, sometimes a spot is painful, mostly it's easy especially with the Betaject injector dealy. It's great when my hands aren't working, which is usually.

After 9 years on Betaferon I feel that it is not helping any more. I have also developed strange sensitivities that I believe may be connected to the problems the Betaferon has caused for my liver. These include: extreme sensitivity to sun exposure; extreme hair loss; MS activity according to MRI.

Start it slowly according to recommendations. After the first 6 weeks it's easy.
Find the most comfortable injection times for YOU. I do it first thing in the morning. Then I don't have to think about it for the rest of the day.

Today was injection # 21. I still do the same things as with the other times. 2 Aleve 1 hour before, massage site gently after injection and put on a little benadryl anti itch cream or bacitracin. Take 2 Aleve the day after. So far, so good. Only 2 site reactions, # 4 and # 5 on my upper thighs. Slight red water blister like bumps. After 3 days of bacitracin, skin started to look normal, only a slight difference in color, like a black and blue bruise, thats going away now too.

giving myself the injection is easier now with the autoinjector- today with be injection # 14, and the 5 the one with the auto injector. No major side effects from the medicaton itself, no known changes at this time but the impact of having to get an injection every other day is overwhelming at times...

not as hard to injject as first thought- just a little difficulty in preparing the syringe, but getting there, i have had 3 injections total and self injected twice...

I take the beta-seron just before going to bed at night. This helps me sleep through any symmptoms of aches. This doesn't really bother my daily life. I have become adjusted to just giving the injection every other day with the auto-injector.

It worked great the first 2 years, I was in a hot country so when I had 3 attacks during the 3rd year it was unclear and during year 4 it got so severe that everytime I took the shot I thought I was going to die and became so paranoid that I never left my house for over 10 days. I was very aggressive and very angry and felt like an alien creature had taken over my head.

I was having severe attacks that were back to back which lead to my diagnosis. The symptoms of the medication was intense at first. I would have different symptoms hit me every 4 days precisely, so one would finish and the other would start. After 2 years on the medication I find that I might have developed antibodies since I have had 3 attacks in the last year alone, I will be doing a blood test to check for it.

I am pretty skinny and have a hard time getting the shot in the fatty tissue so i think thats why i have the reactions. Make sure you pull the needle out after all the medicine is in.

My Doctor dosnt know why my flu like symptoms are not going away but I have the symptom the day after my Injection, I use a pain releiver actimeniphen 30 min. before my shot.
