Zetia is fairly ineffective but taken by itself (without a statin), but when the patient is allergic to statins, is about the only medicine you take. Luckily, maintaining a healthy diet is more effective method for me.

Zetia is a non-Statin drug prescribed by my doctor, after I had a strong negative reaction to statins. It does not appear to have much effect by itself, as is normally ordered in conjunction with a satin.
