Advice & Tips
Currently, and for the last 8 years, in therapy with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who I really like. She helps me with medications and always checks in with me on physical health issues. She is very good about suggesting new activities and literature and is up on many new things. She also learns from me, which I appreciate. I used to see a therapist who has a PhD. in psychology. I was with him for about 13 years, with individual appointments and also group therapy. He is very old now and has somewhat lost his "edge." I recommend staying with therapy, even if you get angry and want to quit. I especially recommend therapy for newly sober alcoholics and addicts.
