Advice & Tips:
In addition to treating the things I was in counseling for, Kathy also helped build my self esteem. She persuaded me to get involved in arts & crafts as coping skills (and I love it). She retired as of July 1, 2013, at which point I changed to Nancy Stockman for the same reasons and I see positive effects, it will take time to get to the stage of results I'd had with Kathy after seeing her for almost 18 years.
My psyhciatrist, (who primarily did med checks based on my counselor/therapist's suggestions), resigned rather suddenly and moved to Texas. I had a choice of 4 replacements and chose Amber Edwards, ARNP. I've had one "telemed" session with her. However, she is much more in favor of the prescription medication detox my gen doc wanted to do but my old psychiatrist vetoed. In her words, she is much more in favor of a holistic approach.

Advice & Tips:
I've been working with Kathy for over 15 years and she has done a lot for my self image in addition to helping me with my mental illnesses. She also got me to try drawing/sketching as a therapy, which I kind of scoffed at because the best I had ever been able to do before was to draw stick figures. But I gave it 100% effort and discovered that I actually had some talent and found it to be a great stress reliever and a wonderful hobby. After that, I expanded into other arts & crafts on my own and earn a little spending money by selling some of my projects.
