Mood swings refer to sudden, exaggerated changes in an individual's long-lasting emotional state. In MS, mood swings may lead to sudden outbursts of anger and aggressive behaviour in reaction to relatively minor irritation. Some people also become very "high" or "manic", with a euphoric mood.
