About Me I'm papaw perry, 67 years old with ALS . I had a EMG Test done 4 Dec 2008 and was diagnosed with ALS and thought I had a slow Progression type. I'm under the care of the VA in Athens and Augusta, Ga. I'm on a cane and walker. My balance is bad and my muscles are deteriorating. My speech is slurred and is slowly getting worse.I have spastisity in my legs ,arms, hands and sholders. I had to retire on disibility Aug-07. My legs have cramped and spasticity mostly of the night since I came back from Vietnam in Jan. 1968.I didn't see a doctor until my speech starting to change in 2000. |
