I've been a member of the mood community for about three years now. I have struggled with mental illness most of my adult life, originally diagnosed with major depressive disorder when I was 18. As you can tell I now have several diagnoses. Regardless of the name, the past 20 years have a held a lot of pain, sadness, shame and hurt- not to mention uncontrollable highs and lows. Now, with the help of a wonderful treatment team, I have begun the healing process. May we all find the help and healing we need.
