I received my tx at Shands/University of Florida @ Gainesville. They are a tremendous transplant center, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I am married (20 years), have 3 children and 10 grandchildren. We live in the country on a small farm and life is great. I walk regularly (about a mile a day) and take a water aerobics class 3 times a week. I also use the leg press to maintain leg strength. To date, I have had no complications from my transplant. I did break my shoulder (prednisone-induced osteoporosis) which required surgery, but the lung itself has been smooth as silk.
