Back when I was 10 1/2 years old on May 16, 1997 I my first 7 of epileptic seizures, which was a Grand Mal Seizure in just 4 years and 1/4 months time. At first I went to Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana where emergency room doctors focused on the initial cause of the seizure without even treating me. Then after that, my folks sent me to Clarian Health in Indianapolis, Indiana where they did the same thing as Reid Hospital did but ended up treating me but did not go with the amount of Depakote they gave me. Went on the Ketogenic Diet for several years and not a seizure to be found. Then another seizure came long that led to the discover of Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome and the lesion in the Left Temporal Lobe that was causing this. Now I am taking Topiramate (Topamax) for it.
