I have been married 31 years and it seems that the years have just flew by. We Now live in Fort Wayne Indiana retired from the military (Navy). Life has been good to us, I have 3 children, 2 daughter in laws, 5 grand children, a sister, and a mother. I love every one of them with all of my heart. I received a gift of life, a second chance with a lung transplant around Thanksgiving of 2005. It saved my life as I was very sick. I have been blessed to have a second chance in life to be with my husband and my kids. I am proud of all of them and love them all so much. They are my strength, my support, and my reason to keep going; they are my rock. I am doing good right now despite of the heartburn and acid reflux issues. I am very thankful to my donor and her family for choosing to donate their loved ones organs. My family and I thank them so much for making that difficult choice that saved my life. If you have any questions or would just simply like to talk, I am here!
For a long time I couldn't Dance, but now I can. Just Know I have walked in your shoes, and It's been a long long walk up that transplant road with many turns, Hills and bumps. You can do it.
Someone told me once that transplant patients have, focus and humor, the ability to see the light in dark moments, and that we transplant patients are the most courageous people you'll ever meet. I am honored to count you all as my friends.
