I am a 56 year old man and started having problems with my legs in about 2002 or 3. I have osteoprosis and have fractured my back 8 times and also have MS in my spinal cord so I thought that my leg weakness was due to this. My feet then began to get numb and very cold. After all of the "usual" tests to rule out other causes I was told, last December 2007, that I was in the early stages of ALS. Althouth it was a shock it was not totally unexpected.
