I have a daughter, 28 years old, and three sons aged 25, 23 and 21. I grew up on a dairy farm in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia; the third of seven children, 5 boys and 2 girls. I went to a very small one-teacher Primary school with only 2 of us in my year level throughout. I went on to a much bigger Secondary school; then came to Geelong to train as a Primary school teacher. I taught in Geelong until close to the birth of my daughter but have never gone back to teaching. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for most of my life but it has been much more severe over the past 20 years.
