I am 62 years old and remember pain when I was very young. My mother would say they were growing pains. The fatigue was also present. I remember wondering why older people had more energy than I did. I just thought I had a lazy streak in me so I tried to hide it by pushing myself past the pain and fatigue. Many times to complete exhaustion. My legs felt like they were made of lead. I was ashamed of myself for being so tired all the time. I kept this to myself because I didn't want anyone to know I got tired so easy. Nothing has changed except I now understand why I feel this way.
