- I am Jeff & I was 39 when DX with ALS at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I've been an athlete all my life i.e.; basketball at the Naval Academy (Freshmen & Sophomore years) I enjoy sailing, golf & running. Ethan, my only child had just turned 11 months old when I was DX.
