I have struggled with depression my entire life, I just didn't know it until my early 40's. My daughter was having issues and her Psychologist figured it out. I am still amazed at the difference medication made. For the first time in my life, I felt like a regular person. I often wonder what my life would have been like if I had gotten help early on. I saw councilors twice before earlier in my life, my late 20's and early 30's and they didn't see it. They are lovely people but I believe more training is needed in recognizing depression & mental illness.
