I was diagnosed in 2006. I was concerned beginning 2 years before that with loss of use in my left hand. I ignored it for two years. So prior to going to the doctor I had already diagnosed myself with a neurological problem. The ones I knew most about were: a brain tumor ; multiple sclerosis ; and Parkinson's. My mother had Parkinson's but no one else. I was sent to a neurologist, he confirmed my suspicions of Parkinson's. I felt it the lesser evil and was relieved. Now 3 years from my diagnosis I find my slowness particularly irritating. Also I am wobbly when I walk.
