I am a 52 year old married for 29 years. We have two sons. My "MS" started in 1984 as a numbness that started in my feet and went upward out both arms within a weeks time. I was diagnosed with "Viral Neuritis." This cleared up and I was asymptomatic until 1997. I had a flare-up with loss of vision in my right eye that recovered within a week. Later that year I started to develop a left foot drop. I received a preliminary diagnosis in December of 1999 and a definitive diagnosis of MS at theCleveland Clinic's Mellen Center in April of 2000.
