I'm a 71 year old male, diagnosed with MND May 2006. My arms are very weak, I have trouble swallowing and I've lost 30 pounds in one year. I use a BIPAP to help me breathe. Fast forward to May 07. The Dr now says I have ALS. I now have a nebulizer, a cough assist, a suction machine and a peg tube. The first diagnosis was PMA, then SMA, now it's ALS. It's all a big guess.
