When I started having trouble walking, I was diagnosed with AVN. Like MS there is no cure. It is very painfull disease and often leads to addiction to pain medications. I continued to have trouble and increased pain medication was assumed to be the reason for my increasing inability to remember and think rationally. I was an important official in state government and my superiors kept uptodate with my treatment. Eventually they had to ask me to go home and not come back. A year later vision problems led to a neuro, diagnosis and explanation of a lot of problems I had been living with.
