I not only have RRMS but 15 other disorders as well. One of which is a rare condition, affecting only 10 out of million people. It is called Addison's disease & it affects the outer cortex of the addrenal glands. Basically, my body no longer makes the hormones and chemicals needed to deal with stress and life in general. The drs. keep telling me don't stress but how do you not stress when you are a single mom (3 bio children,1 grown w/3 yr old son,2 teens) and at the moment one "foster" son. My 15 y/o son is not only ADHD but he is ODD, Conduct Disorder, Bipolar and possibly (cont below)
Picking up where I left off......he also has the possibility of having anti-social personality disorder. My daughter stressed about my health so bad it made her sick, so I finally had to send her to live with daddy. I love her dearly and miss her like crazy but it is what is best for her. We will get to my oldest and grandson at a later date. My daughter also has mental problems but they are controllable most of the time when she lives with daddy. My youngest worries me to death and my "foster"son has problems as well, but for a 16 yr old he seems pretty well rounded and trying to get on the right track. He just needs someone to believe in him and give him some encouragement. Still have not figured out how to follow the dr's orders "not to stress".....Lol. I don't think it helps that I am bi-polar myself. I am lucky enough that I have it under control at the moment and have for the last 5 yrs. But I have had my really bad moments so after 20 yrs of dealing with it, I have a pretty good understanding of it. If you want to know more about me just ask, I am an open book with nothing to hide.
Oh yeah been married and divorced 3 x's and at this point have said to heck with men and relationships. They are great for friends but that's as far as it is going.
Since I have so many diseases/disorders, I can't list all the medications, inhalers, patches and drops that I use for treatment. There are just too many. My prescription costs last yr alone (thank the Lord for Medicare/Medi-caid) was almost $61,000. That is four times the amount I get yrly in disability and child support.
