I was diagnosed with ALS in March 2008. My symptoms go back to 2003 and are still fairly mild, mostly just weakness in my right hand and both arms. I am lucky that I have great friends and family, especially my wife, Charlotte. I was very active and played ice hockey all of my adult life until 2006. We are active in the local ALS community and attended Advocacy Days in Washington, DC every year since 2009. We are working to raise awareness and funds to help combat this awful disease that affects so many lives.
